Student success has always been a key mission of our lab. Some recent student success news: 1- Our MS student Bray wins 3rd place at the ASME SBC conference MS-level poster competition. 2- Mahmoud has started a summer internship at Nvidia continuing his work on AI for science. 3- Mojgan won 1st place at USNCCM: Best presentation award from Elsevier & IACM-FRC. 4- Siva has started a summer internship at Los Alamos National Lab continuing his side project on wildfire modeling. 5- Hunor successfully graduated and is now a postdoc at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (he had done two summer internships at Los Alamos). He also won the ME Department’s 2025 graduate researcher of the year award in thermofluids! 6- Alexis had a great presentation at SBC. Later, Chase will present at the Institute of Biological Engineering annual conference. Finally, Younes has been doing a mini-internship this summer with Dr. Newell’s lab working on data-driven modeling of particulate systems.<\/p>\n\n\n
