Student success: SBC competition, Nvidia internship, and more!

Student success has always been a key mission of our lab. Some recent student success news: 1- Our MS student Bray wins 3rd place at the ASME SBC conference MS-level poster competition. 2- Mahmoud has started a summer internship at Nvidia continuing his work on AI for science. 3- Siva has started a summer internship at Los Alamos National Lab continuing his side project on wildfire modeling. 4- Hunor successfully graduated and is now a postdoc at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (he had done two summer internships at Los Alamos). 5- Alexis had a great presentation at SBC, Mojgan will later this summer present at USNCCM, and Chase will present at the Institute of Biological Engineering annual conference. Finally, Younes has been doing a mini-internship this summer with Dr. Newell’s lab working on data-driven modeling of particulate systems.
