We are always looking for self-motivated students who are interested in our research. We look for students interested in computer modeling, machine learning, numerical methods and programming, fluid mechanics, solid mechanics, and cardiovascular biomechanics with strong programing and computer modeling skills.

Scientific Computing and Imaging Institute (SCI Institute). At SCI, students enjoy a very collaborative and supportive environment with excellent staff support. There is even a nice free coffee machine for students to get coffee, cappuccino, latte, etc. Do you like ping-pong? There is even a ping pong table for students to relax and take a break!

Prospective PhD students.

Students interested in joining our group should apply to the Mechanical Engineering PhD program at the University of Utah.  Support includes RA/TA funding. Domestic students are eligible for being nominated for supplemental college fellowships.

Prospective MS students.

Students interested in Mechanical Engineering MS degree (with thesis) are encouraged to apply. Many MS students are not funded theses days (at many universities), and therefore MS applicants need to be able to self-fund their studies. However, occasionally funding for highly competitive and top MS students might become available (mostly partial funding).
